My Wii

Got a Wii and Wii Fit on this past Friday (2 days ago)! So far, I love it! I can say I haven't spent a ton of time on it, but I can feel it working some muscles that I've not worked in a long time. It's been especially good on working my knee. Unfortunately, I've let it get weak again and it need some serious rehab...the balance and strength exercises are doing many of the same things I did in PT. So...even if I don't lose any weight...at least my knee will be stronger!

Where's the sense of relief?

I just turned everything in for my grad school photography class, but I'm not feeling the sense of relief yet. What's up with that? Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet. Hopefully, I'll enjoy the month off before the dreaded Research class I have to take this summer. At least the pain will be over quickly! ;^)

Ian's Arm

Well, it's official! Ian has broken his wrist! He fell off his bike on this past Saturday...flew over his handlebars and landed on a concrete sewer drain. We thought it might be just sprained, so we waited to see...well, we took him today to my orthopedist's office and it is most definitely broken. He didn't have to get a cast, just a splint that has to be worn all the time for the next 5 weeks. It's always something!!

I am....

sick and tired of being 'sick' AND 'tired.' One more day until our February vacation week and I am just dying to sleep in and relax! We head to Siesta Key on Sunday and it will nice and warm....I really want to fall asleep in the sun! I can't wait! :^)

New Family Member!

My cousin, Ellen, who is only four years younger than me, just had her first child this morning! It's a little girl, Nora May Nolan, 7lbs. 2 oz., and everyone's doing well! I'm sure Ellen and Josh are just "over the moon" for this long awaited little one!

New Laptop

It's amazing...I've never had a brand-new laptop before! I have never surfed the 'net so smoothly and been able to see it so clearly! My husband is not the most romantic of people, but when he surprised me on Sunday with it...it was the closest he'll ever get to being romantic! :^) I love it! (and him too!)

Growing up fast...

It's kinda hit me that the kids are growing up fast. Ian turned 10 a couple of weeks ago, and I can't believe it! In only 8 years, he'll be going off to college! Both of them have changed so much...they are so independant, which is great, but I know they will be needing me less and less. Deep things to think....and feel.
